After 15 seasons and 2 World Series Championships, All -Star catcher Jason Varitek has decided to retire according to multiple reports from the Boston area. The 39 year-old is expected to make his announcement from Fort Myers, Florida, on Thursday.  Other sources also stated that Varitek will remain involved with the Boston Red Sox organization.
